Terrarium Workshop Invitation -- Bay Area

Claremont Finders Keepers co-owner, Wendy, invites you to a workshop she is giving on creating your own terrarium.

Terrarium Workshop

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM  Aug 23, 2012
(General)

Upcycled furniture maker/HackerMom Wendy Renz invites you to learn how to make a beautiful terrarium for your home or yard. You will learn how to layer the substrates (rocks, sand, soil, etc) to promote drainage and how to use activated carbon to keep your creation odor-free. You can make a low-water, low-maintenance terrarium with succulents or a wetter, greener kind with ferns and mosses– or a combination thereof! All will produce equally stunning results! This is a chance to get creative and make a beautiful piece of living art in less than 1 hour!

To Bring: Your own glass container and a few special objects you want to place in the terrarium. Wendy will provide sand, activated carbon, rocks, potting soil, moss, ferns, succulents, a few little objects.

Free for HackerMoms, $10 non-members, $5 materials fee for everyone

Location:  3288 Adeline Street, Berkeley 94703
